â Michaela 'Mick' Miller born 30th March, 1993Mick's life fell apart at 4 years old when a house fire claimed the life of her father leaving her and her 6 month old sister in the care of their unstable mother.
Unable to cope with being a single mother, Tammy abandoned her children, leaving them to get passed around from group home to group home.â â CHILDHOOD Mick was labeled as a difficult child, lashing out at authority figures and often facing severe consequences for it. She was fiercely protective of her sister Whisky and at the age of twelve made her first kill, the worker who she caught laying his hands on her little sister. Scared of the consequences Mick grabbed her sister and they fled. The next few years of their life was spent on the streets of New York city, finding shelter in abandoned houses while Mick stole what she could from who she could.â â TEENAGE YEARS Mick was fiercely protective of her sister, doing what she could to keep them on the run with a roof over their heads. Pickpocketing and petty theft were just the beginning, eventually she would donate blood for cash and even sign up for pharmaceutical drug test experiments for money. Eventually, after a conversation with another girl at one of the test clinics, Mick took up sex work as a steady form of income to keep both her and whisky safe. Her teenage years remain locked in a safe in the far corners of her mind. The trauma gets pushed aside for the sake of keeping a strong front for her little sister.â â ADULTHOOD Mick took up hunting, the thrill of killing supernatural creatures gave her some small pleasure, gave her some form of control. At the age of 21 she met Xavier, the first man who didn't want a piece of her. He saw the hunter, the prostitute and the orphan and he still stayed. He even treated Whisky like she was his own, even through all her hardships too. They were engaged by 22. But a hunt a few months shy of their wedding date snatched away that brief period of happiness. Possessed by a demon, Xavier attempted to kill Mick, heavy hands crushing her windpipe and despite her pleading for him to fight the demon she ended up stabbing him multiple times, the demon evacuating and leaving Xavier to die in her arms. After that Mick turned her back on hunting. She started up LAST CALL INVESTIGATIONS and started private investigation work. Alcohol dulled her senses and kept the nightmares away for the most part, her attitude is what keeps most other things away.
â â PERSONALITY Mick is an Aries sun, Aries rising and cancer moon She is a â what you see is what you get â type of person, a natural fighter and survivor. She holds onto things like her losses and her pain. Everything she has been through has broke her in ways she still can't heal from. She fights hard for the people she loves and the guilt of Xander's death weighs her down like an anchor. To strangers she is snarky, bitter and often mean, but to those she knows and trusts, she cares for deeply.
